Bio

Darius Emadi is an American actor, clown, director, and theatre maker based in Oslo and working internationally.

A graduate of École Philippe Gaulier, he creates contemporary clown and physical theatre centered on play, audience interaction, and live improvisation. His solo show Mixtape has toured internationally across Europe, North America, and Australia, and he is currently developing a new solo show through work-in-progress performances and festival appearances.

Darius is currently directing Viggo Venneløs, the new solo show by Britain's Got Talent winner Viggo Venn, premiering at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe before touring nationally in Norway. He also co-directs and performs in Don Toberman: Ping Pong Champ, which has recently won six fringe festival awards, including five awards at the San Diego Fringe Festival and one award at the Atlanta Fringe Festival.

Alongside his performance and directing work, Darius teaches workshops internationally and works one-on-one with performers developing original clown, comedy, physical theatre, and solo performance projects.
